Use the Windows 7 Backup and Restore Application
You’ll be a better degunker if you’re comfortable with your backups. As noted earlier, one of the best ways to get started is to use the Backup and Restore application that comes with Windows 7. It offers an easy way to back up your data regularly. If the need ever arises you can pick and choose what to restore. It’s a pretty nifty application.

To open Backup and Restore, either search for it from the Start Search window or follow this path: Start | All Programs | Maintenance.
