Where now?

So now you have made a real start on your plan. In Chapter 4 , we will engage in a period of introspection. I am going to ask you to look closely at the current state of your business. From the perspective of getting your plan on paper, the task is mainly descriptive. However, while doing this you will be reviewing your strengths and weaknesses – and identifying your core competencies.

In Chapter 5 , you look outwards to the world at large. Again, the main objective is to document your market and competition. While you are doing this you will be building up your list of opportunities and threats and you will be identifying your competitive advantages.
