ABOUT THE AUTHORS

DOROTHY LEONARD is the William J. Abernathy Professor of Business Administration emerita at Harvard Business School. She served on the Harvard faculty for twenty years and before that taught at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, for three years. Her teaching, research, and consulting for major governments and corporations have focused on innovation, creativity, new product development, and knowledge transfer. At Harvard Business School, she was a Director of Research and Director of Research and Knowledge Programs for Harvard Business School’s nonprofit venture, HBS Interactive.
