Introduction

In this tutorial we’re going to simulate a scattered light diffusion over the surface of the soap bubble, plus its shape, motion, and finally how to “pop” them! Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as assigning a quick material onto a spherical particle as we see in the reference material, but through analysis we’ll be able to produce a nice convincing effect. You may think this tutorial deserves to be within the “Air” section of the book; however, as we’re dealing with water-based bubbles as a medium, it deserves to be placed in this section.
