One of the most common challenges associated with the operationalization of decision equity pertains to what statisticians refer to as “model misspecification.” Here is an easy example to illustrate the point. Let us think of two cardiologists, each of whom has very favorable perceptions of drug A—a statin used to lower cholesterol among patients.
