The Power of Your Decisions

We started out talking about motivation and Gain, balance, priorities, energy, and the importance of valuing time. We also discussed practical ways to use planning and organization to maximize time and productivity in order to achieve the results that would improve your business and your life. Can just improving the way you make decisions really impact all of that?

In a word, yes. The decisions that we make result in the life that we build. The life you have today is the cumulative result of all the decisions and circumstances that have been part of it up until now. Some of these circumstances—where you were born, who your parents are, the health of your family members—are completely out of your control. But the decisions you make as to how to handle the situations that life gives you, what risks you take, what you spend your time on, and the Gain you decide to pursue are what makes you different from everyone else. These are the things that define you.

Part of what makes your decisions critical to building your life is that every decision has consequences, whether intended or unintended. These are the ripple effects of your decisions that can be far reaching through all areas of your life or layers of your organization.
