Data Movement Enhancements for Original Equipment Manufacturer Databases
An Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) uses product components from other companies to build a product that it sells under its own company name and brand. DB2 UDB v8 includes enhancements that enable the data movement utilities to accept the Sybase Bulk Copy Program (BCP) text file format.
Rather than handle the BCP native file format, the DB2 export utility uses file type modifiers (nochardel and timestampformat) to produce a delimited (DEL) file that is an acceptable BCP text file.
