Table Space Change History File
Prior to v8, a table space rollforward recovery operation required the processing of all log files that had accumulated since the backup image was created, even if there were no transactions in the log files associated with the specified table space. This is no longer the case. Now only log files that are required to recover the table space are processed; log files that are not required are skipped. If the log files are being retrieved from the archive, the user exit program is asked to retrieve only the needed log files. (If, for some reason, you want all of the log files to be processed, set the new DB2_COLLECT_TS_REC_INFO registry variable to NO.)
