LDAP Support on Linux

Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directories greatly simplify the deployment of client-server applications. Each client workstation must know the location of the DB2 databases that its applications must access. Traditionally, this has been accomplished by cataloging node (network address) and database information on every client workstation. This creates a high management cost: Whenever a new database is added, each and every client catalog must be updated.
