DB2_SNAPSHOT_NOAUTH Registry Variable

To enable all users to capture snapshot monitor data, activate the DB2_SNAPSHOT_NOAUTH registry variable.

Turning on the DB2_SNAPSHOT_NOAUTH registry variable is not recommended, as it introduces the following security risk: Numerous accesses of the snapshot monitor APIs, CLP commands, or SQL table functions can cause serious performance degradation on workloads with high connect–disconnect rates (especially concentrator environments). A user can therefore deliberately slow the database system down by causing excessive latch contention.
