Chapter 6. Connection Concentrator
The introduction of the connection concentrator in DB2 UDB v8.1 provides significant performance improvements for database servers that accept many transient connections. The connection concentrator enables database servers to handle more concurrent client database connections and improves the efficiency with which database connections are handled.
