DB2 UDB Personal Edition

Although there are no packaging changes to DB2 UDB Personal Edition (DB2 UDB PE) in the version 8.1 release, DB2 UDB Satellite version 6.1 has been merged into DB2 UDB PE. Customers who wish to implement occasionally connected solutions can now choose DB2 Everyplace (which also supports Cloudscape and J2ME clients as data stores) or DB2 UDB PE. The Control Server feature associated with the remote management of satellite systems has been extended so that any DB2 UDB server can be managed the same way as a satellite.
