Summary

This chapter looked at what it takes to compile and bind an application program to DB2 and to be able to execute that program. This process must be completed in order to have a program access and to manipulate DB2 data. Packages and DBRMs are used in order to store the bound program and the plan is the actual executable object. We also looked at the special authorities needed to execute the plan.
