Summary
AIV Extenders facilitate managing and retrieving multimedia database stored inside a database by providing a useful set of UDFs that can be called in SQL queries. It also has a programming interface that can be used by applications. Each database must be enabled to add the new UDTs, functions, and the search procedure. The AIV Extenders instance must be started and multimedia columns must be enabled before the UDFs or API can be used.
