Configuration
Before AIV Extenders can be used, the database must be enabled. Enabling a database for AIV Extenders creates the needed UDTs and UDFs. The AIV Extenders CLP is called db2ext. Administrative commands can be entered by starting the AIV CLP by preceding AIV administration commands with db2ext. Here is the syntax for enabling a database and a column for use by AIV Extenders. The value of extender-name can be either db2image, db2audio, or db2video.
db2ext ENABLE DATABASE FOR extender-name db2ext ENABLE COLUMN table-name column-name FOR extender-name
