DB2 Web Tools

DB2 Web Tools provide an effective vehicle for database administrators to access the DB2 environment through a secure Web-enabled interface. Database administrators can do this using the following Web tools:

  • Web Command Center

  • Web Health Center

DB2 Web Tools requires an application server, such as IBM WebSphere or BEA WebLogic. Some examples of how DB2 Web Tools can be used by database administrators are the following:

  • While away from the office attending a conference, you receive an urgent message on your Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) about a database problem.

  • Using the PDA, you securely log on to a portal where DB2 Web Tools is installed.
