Role Description

The IBM Certified Application Developer certification role requires one to be knowledgeable with DB2 Universal Database v8.1 and capable of performing intermediate to advanced tasks required to design and develop DB2 Universal Database applications against any of the DB2 Family of server platforms: AIX, HP-UX, iSeries, Linux, Solaris, Windows, or zSeries.

Certification Requirements

Candidates must pass both Exam 700 and 703 to qualify for this certification. If you have already earned a v7 Application Development certification, you are able to upgrade to the v8 level without retaking Exam 700—DB2 UDB v8.1 Family Fundamentals.
