This book is a complete guide to IBM's relational database server, known as DB2 Universal Database Version 7.1 for OS/390 and z/OS. In order to understand the DB2 family and all of the options you have for implementation, you need to be familiar with the fundamentals of all platforms. This book covers DB2 UDB for OS/390 and z/OS; for details on the other platforms, you will need to refer to the other certification guides. Perhaps you are planning to become certified, or you would simply like to understand the powerful new DB2 UDB database servers from IBM and the capabilities of DB2 for OS/390 and z/OS.
