Using DISPLAY Commands

A lot of the information you can get via the Accounting and Statistics reports can also be obtained using the DISPLAY command (for more information on how to issue a command, refer to Chapter 2). The DISPLAY COMMAND can show details about current activity in the subsystem. The following are the different types of DISPLAYs:

  • DISPLAY ARCHIVE

  • DISPLAY BUFFERPOOL

  • DISPLAY DATABASE

  • DISPLAY FUNCTION SPECIFIC

  • DISPLAY GROUP

  • DISPLAY GROUPBUFFERPOOL

  • DISPLAY LOCATION

  • DISPLAY LOG

  • DISPLAY PROCEDURE

  • DISPLAY RLIMIT

  • DISPLAY THREAD

  • DISPLAY TRACE

  • DISPLAY UTILITY

Note

This type of information can also be viewed in the DB2 Control Center.

For more information on all of the options on the DISPLAYs, refer to the IBM DB2 UDB for OS/390 Command Reference.
