Security

One way of adding additional security to your DB2 subsystem is using RACF–Resource Access Control Facility. RACF is a component of the SecureWay Security Server for OS/390. There are also other equivalent security packages on the market. Use of RACF will prevent unauthorized users having access to the system. It can be used to protect many different resources in DB2 and to check the identity of DB2 users.

For more information on security options, refer to Chapter 3, Controlling Access.
