Certification Test Objectives

The following text explains the objectives for each test that you must pass in order to become certified for DB2 UDB for OS/390.

DB2 Family Fundamentals (512)

IBM certifications in DB2 UDB V7.1 require an in-depth knowledge of basic SQL, DML, DDL, and an understanding of database objects (tables, views, etc.). Further, a basic understanding of the concepts and features of DCL, database creation, data types, stored procedures, programming, components and packaging (SDK, EEE, etc.), protocols supported, installation of products, GUI tools, CLP, basic isolation levels, and import/export is required.
