This book is dedicated to the many DB2 SQL professional developers who want to do the best they can but are not sure where to start improving performance. It is also for those who do not have the time or resources to improve their skills. I have worked with so many developers over the years and am continually impressed by their commitment and abilities to getting the jobs done and the commitment to their profession. But I have also noticed that when it comes to performance and tuning of SQL statements, programs, or applications, most are unsure of what exactly to do.
