Ididn’t include photographs of animals in the previous chapter on Nature for several reasons. Non-human living creatures deserve a chapter of their own, of course. There are many challenges involved in picturing animals: they may move around actively, often aren’t willing to sit still while we set up our cameras and compose our shots, and have distinct personalities that we photographers probably want to capture. In other words, creating images of critters is more like photographing people than like grabbing pictures of other parts of Nature’s realm.
