Chapter 6. Shooting D-Movies

The Nikon D90 can shoot movies up to 2GB in file size while the camera is in Live View mode. Shooting stills and movies in Live View is easy. Before you start, you can check your settings, as described in the next section, or just forge ahead with the current settings by following these steps:

  1. Press the LV button. Activate Live View by pressing the button (above the multi selector). The D90 can be hand-held or mounted on a tripod. (Using a tripod mode makes it easier to obtain and keep sharp focus.) You can exit Live View at any time by pressing the LV button again.

  2. Zoom in/out. Check your view by pressing the Zoom In button (located at the lower-left corner next to the color LCD). Five levels of magnification are available, ...
