Chapter 16. The Archive Discard Component

The next component to review is the discard component. This component will periodically read the archive data store to find business objects that have reached the end of their intended archive lives and need to be removed. The process removes them from the archive data store and records information about its actions. The steps in the process are shown in Figure 16.1.
