analysis subject
an entity that is being analyzed. The analysis results are interpreted in the context of the subject. Analysis subjects are the basis for the structure of the analysis table.
analysis table
a single rectangular table that holds the data for the analysis, where the observations are represented by rows, and the attributes are represented by columns.
application layer
a logical layer that enables you to access data from a system using its business logic and application functions.
business question
a type of question that defines the content and rationale for which an analysis is done.
database
