Goals, Routines, and Tools for Data Use
Jane, a middle school teacher, was on board with data-informed decision making, but she felt the main barrier to data use at her school was the curriculum pacing pressure. The district had adopted a new math curriculum, and district curriculum leaders designed a pacing guide in which textbook lessons were mapped each week throughout the school year.
