I believe that data analytics in the corporate debt markets is still fairly early in its development. Improved use of computer systems and improved market data are both likely to lead to the increased use of more advanced techniques in the corporate debt markets.

There is no question in my mind that the complexity of the data needed to monitor corporate debt and the lack of consistently good pricing data have both slowed the evolution of analytics. However, even with these issues, there should be wider use of analytics in the debt markets.
