Section II: Terminology and Basic Tools

The first chapter in this section reviews some of the terms that are used in the debt markets and some of the protocols; it takes you through some examples and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of some of the terms. For those experienced in the markets, this chapter may be superfluous.

The second chapter in this section outlines some of the typical tools that are used in analytics in the market. Many of these are in the family of statistics and will be familiar to many of you. This chapter provides some simple examples and then later chapters show you how these tools are used.
