This book introduces and outlines the main tools and methods that are currently used in data analytics in the corporate debt market. It discusses some of the different end users of these analytics and how they typically use (or don’t use) these tools in the corporate debt markets today.

Although fundamental credit work is still critical to proper investment selection, data analytics helps improve and speed up the process of credit selection and helps to guide market participants as to where they should focus their credit work, the same way a radiologist might say that an X-ray helps him to draw an X to show a surgeon where to cut.
