24. Some Thoughts on the Future of Data Analytics in Corporate Debt Markets

Although the growth in the size of the corporate debt markets in recent years has been revolutionary, the development of analytics for the market has been evolutionary at best. I expect the demand for data analytics will increase in coming years, but I believe more of the investment will have to come from money managers and third-party vendors as opposed to the investment bank/broker-dealer side, where much of the investment has come from so far.
