Each segment of the corporate debt markets is defined by the types of debt, the ratings, or the currencies and country of domicile. There are similarities between all of the markets but also differences in risk and other characteristics.

Investment-Grade Corporate Bonds

Investment-grade corporate bonds (also known as high grades or IG) are generally the highest credit quality within the corporate debt markets according to the rating agencies. The price movements of these bonds tend to be more sensitive to any action taken by the rating agencies too.
