JULIAN HOUSE

Known best for his cover art and Ghost Box record label, London-based designer Julian House’s collages have found their way onto many album covers. He uses a mixture of self-generated and found imagery, and a combination of analogue and digital techniques, but works quickly to keep the rawness and sense of spontaneity. He puts all of his images through a process of colour grading or treatment, which helps to divorce them from reality and create different tones and textures that play off each other.
