Types of Online Stores

There are many types of online stores in this hybrid marketplace. Auction websites have become popular places for people to buy and sell products. Internet Service Providers (ISPs)—and other portals to the Internet—have established shopping malls featuring links to different types of online stores. These portals also directly offer products and services to customers who log on to the ISP domain to check e-mail and browse the Internet. Pure-play public and multi-channel consumer websites were mentioned in Chapter 1.
