Christopher Nolan is Irish, in his twenties and a writer, both of prose and poetry. His physical disabilities make it impossible for him to walk, talk or control his movements. This chapter is an extract from his autobiography Under the Eye of the Clock, in which, as Joseph Meehan, he attends Mount Temple Comprehensive School for an interview and then for his first day as a pupil.
