Singapore uses eight-digit telephone numbers and as the island is small there are no area codes. A landline number begins with 6, while mobile phone numbers begin with either 8 or 9. There’s no need to include the country code when calling local numbers within Singapore.

Toll-free numbers usually start with 1800, except for the emergency numbers.
