The world we operate in is increasingly a technologically influenced one. No gold stars for pointing that out. But perhaps we still underestimate just how much technology is changing society, life, our culture and behaviour? Is it by chance that more and more science fiction is based in the present day or just a few years out? We stand with a foot in the past and a foot in the techno-future. The nexus, the inflection point, is right here, today. Has there been a more exciting time to be alive? (Hard to know, right.)
