Creating Tech DNA

In our consultancy work we see some clients diving straight in with brave, untested digital strategies, while others wait for their whole market to move before dipping a toe in. After a while I started asking myself ‘do some organizations thrive because they are willing to embrace technology, or do they thrive because they are willing to innovate and be flexible and so take advantage of technology opportunistically?’ Put another way, are the pioneering businesses taking a tech-centric approach, or a broader ‘innovate and adopt change of any flavour’ approach?

I don’t have the answer, although I imagine it is more likely to be the latter.
