Control systems link audiovisual gear with other room systems such as lighting. They are the interface between the system and the user. Audiovisual (AV) control systems are used to integrate, automate, and simplify a series of operations to produce a specific AV system function or configuration. Control systems can be as complex as controlling five sites for a videoconference or as simple as a remote control device that operates a consumer television set.
