Following two chapters considering the threats to cloud computing, we will turn our focus to the steps that end customers need to consider in order to make the move to the cloud.

Traditionally when organizations look to secure their data, the approach taken is a pretty conventional one. Whereupon the focus is on identifying where in the organization key systems and data are located. Once this exercise is completed, a risk assessment is subsequently done to determine what security risks are facing the organization and then selected security controls are implemented to manage those risks.
