Keep Your Project Champion Involved

Initial support from senior management for your CRM project tends to be quite high. The key, therefore, is to secure your project champion early. Once you have secured your project champion, you should keep this individual briefed on a monthly basis during the first six or so months of the project, and then quarterly thereafter. Your briefings should be a one-page list of bulleted points (be sure to inform your champion of both good as well as bad news!), and be followed up by a face-to-face meeting.
