Enterprise/Satellite Server Architecture
Over the years, many CRM vendors have shied away from the enterprise/satellite server architecture. In most cases, the CRM vendors would say that they left the remote office synchronization to the database vendors. This created many problems because the database vendors do not concern themselves with the business logic and rules of the CRM application.
Recently, however, more CRM vendors seem to have realized that there are many organizations that do have global operations and cannot cost effectively or efficiently operate from a centralized server model. Therefore, we feel that over the next few years the CRM industry will continue to see more vendors provide this option.
