Client/Server to N-Tiered

Over the last few years, vendors that have driven the growth of the Web have come up with new architectures to accommodate increased Internet traffic and other demands. Several CRM vendors have embraced new technologies such as N-tiered, Web centric, XML enabled, etc. and used this as a marketing message. Many other vendors have remained back in the client/server era, but bolted a few Web interfaces onto their product in order to remain competitive.
