Acceptance Testing, User Acceptance Testing

A testing phase designed to demonstrate that the system under test meets requirements. The name “user acceptance testing” can imply that users run the testing.

Activity

A logically distinct subset of a phase consisting of a collection of tasks that together produce a single major deliverable.

Alpha Testing, Beta Testing

Testing phases where the system is delivered to internal (alpha) or external (beta) customers and users for exposure to real-world workflows, data, and environments.
