Chapter 15. Illuminate the Fourth Element: Report the Test Results

Years ago, philosophers believed that the world was made of four elements: earth, wind, fire, and water. While modern chemistry has taught us that over a hundred elements exist, the projects I've worked on often consisted of four main elements.

  • Features—. Are we building the right set of functions and behaviors that will solve the users' and customers' real-world problems?

  • Schedule—. Can we deliver this problem solving system in a timely fashion?

  • Budget—. Can we deliver this system in a way that is financially attractive for the users, the customers, the project sponsors, and the people building the system?

  • Quality—. Can we deliver the features such that they are fit for the uses to ...
