It’s the final fling, the feet up at the end of the journey and time to reflect.

I set out some common preconceptions when I introduced this book – some myths about creativity at work:

  • Creative people, even those at work, are eccentrics and different from the rest of us. I certainly discovered, with the artists and opera directors I interviewed, that they had a distinctive curiosity and way of adapting what they perceived in the world. But they weren’t weird. And creative people at work that I met and interviewed focused their creativity on adaptation of products and processes for the good of their organizations. Nothing outré there.
  • Creativity is really about the arts and has no place in everyday life and certainly not in either ...
