Stain Master

Time limit: 13 minutes

As a society, we don’t like stains. But stains can be beautiful if we were to see them through the eyes of a child, the eyes of wonder again. Stains could be just starting points for something greater, a random shape with shade and form waiting to be made awesome. That will be your task today.

First, get something that will make a stain on a piece of paper. It can be juice, soda, ink… whatever will randomly spread and dry. Make your stain. Once it is dry, use a pen or pencil to turn that stain into something else. Turn the paper at any angle necessary to inspire a starting shape then finish the drawing.
