Challenge 19. Build a Set

Description

Sometimes you don’t have an exciting location to shoot, and you’ve shot the same background too many times. Why not build a set of your own? You can make your sets elaborate and one of a kind, or you can make them versatile and ready to use over and over again. If you have a handier side (or a handier significant other!), this challenge can breathe life into your space and help you break out of the confines of a sterile studio background.

Inspiration

Keep in mind that a set doesn’t have to be elaborate to give you something more exciting to work with. Much like in the movies, your set only needs to look great from the camera’s view. Out of the frame, it can be less than perfect—just make it work.
