My students in the Wayne State Instructional Technology program are at the center of this book. They inspired it. They read drafts and improved it. They encouraged me to get it written and off to the publisher. I wrote it for them and their successors.

One group of them stands out, the Fall 2011 Advanced Multimedia class. They critiqued the chapters and used the near-final draft as their text. They made videos as samples, used the sample script, modeled for photos, and pointed me in the right direction to make this book useful for their fellow students and practitioners.
