8.6. WSUS and Group Policy
All parts of the WSUS client are managed through Group Policy. This includes the behavior of the client itself, when it contacts the WSUS server, its rebooting policy, and more. WSUS policy settings are born from the file WindowsUpdate.admx, which either lives in the C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions folder or your domain's Group Policy Central Store. You can learn more about creating the Group Policy Central Store in Chapter 7 of the companion book.
Fifteen different WUA client computer-based settings are available within WindowsUpdate.admx. These are located within the Group Policy Management Editor at Computer Configuration Policies Administrative Templates Windows Update.
